Land Size: 113.31 hectares (280 Acres)

Hawarden Dairy Support Opportunity!
113 hectares freehold plus approximately 50 hectares leasehold land.
After been part of the family farming enterprise for over 75 years, this bare land is now available for sale.
With varied soil types the property which has been used for dairy support for more than 25 years has produced some very good crop results, both wheat and green feed crops.
With shelter belts throughout, and good water reticulation and easy access, the block offers great wintering, as well as finishing stock.
The Vendor has recently installed a well and has resource consent to irrigate approximately 24 hectares from that. Also he is offering 113 shares in the planned local irrigation scheme, which will allow the entire freehold area to be irrigated in the future.
There are two other wells on the property, both with potable water. One of these wells presently supplies stock water for most of the year, the other well can easily be incorporated into the system with very little effort or cost.
Having been run in conjunction with the vendor's home farm, stock performance is hard to quantify, but it is well known as being healthy stock country, and even through the recent droughts this property showed a profit.
If you are looking for a dairy support operation or wishing to add a wintering and finishing block, this opportunity is not to be overlooked.
