Viv Smith has been in real estate since 1996, and with PGG Wrightson Real Estate since 1998. She has been actively involved in the community over the years, raising family, playing sport, coaching and encouraging sports people – young and old. She has also owned rural property, growing kumara and rearing bulls.
Since 1988, Viv has been actively involved in a group for the prevention of sexual abuse and violence against women and children, and is passionate in her abhorrence and stance on this subject.
Viv has consistently been in the high achievers award winners every year since her inception, coming second in New Zealand in residential and lifestyle sales in 2013. This is a direct response to her feelings regarding loyalty to clients and PGG Wrightson Real Estate.
Viv has learnt over the years how to split time between family and work. With four fabulous grandchildren living in close proximity, family is even more important to her nowadays, and a lot more time is spent in the community and schools following their pursuits. She believes that having family support and a love and knowledge of her community is absolutely essential to being a long-time player in this industry.
Viv thoroughly enjoys the contacts made over the years with both purchasers and vendors. She finds it a pleasure to introduce new people to her town and surrounds, as they have so much to offer.
“You have all been part of the journey and the journey continues.”
