In 1972, Robin moved to Southland and took up farming at Rimu for 10 years. During that time, he gained a New Zealand record for the highest yield of barley, 8.25 tonne per hectare. In 1979, with a group of Southland farmers, Robin bought a station in Northern Southland, which has been very successful running 23,000 stock units.
In 1982, he moved to Mid Canterbury and farmed arable/livestock for a further 12 years.
Robin has been in rural real estate since 1992. During that time, he has gained recognition as the number one salesperson of the year five times, firstly with Wrightson Real Estate and now with PGG Wrightson Real Estate.
He has been involved with a wide range of property sales and has conducted a large number of very successful marketing campaigns.
His experience makes him well-qualified for all types of rural property sales.
