Paul Harper

Upon leaving school in 1977, Paul Harper worked briefly as a shepherd on Taurapa Station before the early loss of his father saw him take over the family farm, The Pines, at Matapiro in 1978.

Having spent most of his life farming and working alongside rural communities, Paul has a deep understanding of the people, properties, and challenges that shape the agricultural sector. He began his rural real estate career in Hawke's Bay in 2006 and has built a strong reputation specialising in farm sales, as well as horticultural and lifestyle properties.

Paul enjoys helping farmers and rural property owners make their next move, whether buying or selling, and takes pride in making the process as smooth and straightforward as possible. His practical farming experience gives him valuable insight and allows him to relate easily to the people he works with.

While real estate is now his focus, farming remains a big part of Paul's life. He still enjoys spending time on the family farm, helping with tree planting, environmental projects, and general maintenance whenever time allows. The family farming operation continues to grow and is now managed by a dedicated farm manager. Paul also has an 800-hectare property in Pongaroa, farmed in partnership with family, and enjoys heading down to lend a hand when needed.

Married to Cyndy, Paul is a proud father of three and Poppa of three. Family, farming, and the rural community have always been at the heart of what he does, and those values carry through into the way he works with his clients.

With nearly 20 years in rural real estate and a lifetime spent in farming, Paul combines practical experience, local knowledge, and a genuine commitment to achieving the best possible results for his clients throughout Hawke's Bay and the East Coast.
