With a rural family background in the Waikato involving, dairy, beef and cropping, Roupe draws on his lifelong experience to understand and provide clients with sound knowledge and advice.

Roupe moved to Whanganui and worked for Dalgety Newton King (FCDC) for several years before relocating to Taranaki. During this time, he was involved in the aerial and ground-based fertiliser spreading industries and also worked for Fonterra. He has been active in real estate for approximately 12 years, and in that time also owned a real estate franchise business.
