135ha Grazing and Fattening Unit

Consisting of 135 hectares of mixed contour, the property comprises of flats with sandy loam soils through to rolling papa and limestone hills. The land spans both sides of a valley, with the Mangapapa Stream running through the centre. The unique climate created by the property's contour allows for good grass growth.

This farm is divided into 26 paddocks, with trough water supplied to 23 paddocks. The remaining 3 paddocks have easy access to stream water, ensuring good stock water supply across the property. Water is supplied from a reliable solar powered pump system transferring water up 80 metres to a header tank. From there, water is gravity-fed throughout the predominantly 500ltr concreate troughs.

A central raceway system works around two sets of cattle yards. A wooden set with a load-out race is located up by the road, and a newer steel and concrete set is positioned in the middle of the farm, lending themselves to easy stock management.

There are stands of native bush and kahikatea throughout the property. A half-round barn provides accommodation and is powered by solar panels and gas.

A three-bay implement shed offers excellent storage, with one bay having a concrete floor and can be securely locked up.

This location is handy to nearby Tuakau town which provides the services required for farming, including the local sales yards for cattle and sheep sales.
