Located only 11km from the township of Waipukurau, Heron Creek consists of a total of 175.0265ha of flat terraced terrain. Currently utilised as a support finishing platform for a larger breeding property, the farm has been known for livestock performance throughout the entire year. Mild winters and an irrigation consent allowing pasture growth and quality remains consistent. Two bores at depths of 52m and 58m provide water with an irrigation consent allowing up to 58 litres per second being drawn, 29,524 cubic meters per week, 598,560 cubic meters in a 12-month period. Water is supplied via two centre pivots being 310m and 571m, plus pod irrigators up to an area of approximately 116ha of pasture and crops.
Infrastructure has been built towards farming both sheep and cattle with yards, woolshed and haybarns positioned near the front of the property. Stock water is reticulated out around troughs in each paddock plus two small streams run through the property and boundaries the Maharakeke stream at the eastern side.
